Uniquely Yours Solution: Decided to convert the kitchen into a kid’s space.
How did you manage to add a unique touch to the kid’s area?
Since the kitchen was converted into a kid’s room, the space was really tight. To ensure the space does not have a cramped look and feel, glass partition was used to give it a light appearance. The space had the required elements like wooden furniture, bunk bed and appropriate storage.
What were the elements used to decorate the kid’s space?
Attention was paid to the colour aspect in the kid’s space. You will also notice a soothing play of colours here. We used strips of different colours to add drama to the interiors. To deck up the space further, small blackboard has been displayed on the wall to give enough room to enhance the creativity of the child. 3D alphabets of the kid’s name have also been displayed on the kid’s door.
How did you ensure that the comfort factor is taken care of considering the space restriction?
Since the space was tight, we used our planning skills to accommodate the essential furniture like bunk bed, study area and wardrobe. We shifted the kitchen to the living area and ensured each and every centimetre was used intelligently to fit two bedrooms in the space.
Did you face any challenges while executing the project?
Timeline was the only challenge we faced in this project. Another challenge was to figure out the plumbing aspect keeping in mind the constraints of the space.
