4 Colour Palettes To Embrace The Monsoon Mood In Your Home

A new season brings an opportunity to try something new with your home. New furniture, themes, paints are some ways you can switch it up to keep things fresh. This monsoon, lean into the moodiness and gloominess of the season with these different colour palettes.

1. Monochromatic Monsoon

Channel the subtle, moody greys of the monsoon skies with a monochromatic palette. Colour block using different shades of grey, from light to charcoal, to create depth and dimension in your space. Introduce warmth and texture with fluffy rugs or metallic accents for added visual interest.

2. Earthy Tranquillity

Embrace the natural beauty of the monsoon season with an earthy colour palette. Opt for artwork that illustrates nature, such as leaves, trees or a forest. Use colours like rich browns, & deep greens that reflect the colour of the earth after a refreshing rain. Bring in plants to get the feeling of the outdoors in the warmth of your home.

3. Serene Blues

Mimic the calming blues of the monsoon clouds within your home. Use varying tones of blue ranging from soft sky tones to deep ocean palettes to create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in your home. Introduce white accents with furniture or throws to balance the cooler notes and add a touch of brightness.

4. Muted Jewel Tones

Add a touch of vibrancy to your monsoon décor with a muted jewel tone palette. The rule of 60-30-10 can also be applied; 60% of a dominant colour, 30% of a secondary colour, and 10% of an accent colour. Use soft, desaturated versions of jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue or amethyst to create a luxurious and sophisticated feel. Balance the bolder colours with neutral tones like taupe or beige for a cohesive look.
